Ok so it won't start, but the rear light paint panel is coming up a treat, just a bit of overspray to sort, but that is almost off. I also discovered the polisher has a speed control, so having been at one all of yesterday, I got a bit faster today!

It won't start? is it throwing a wobbly Charles?

Progress on the black XM - traced the ABS fault to the front right side and they have ordered the correct sensor (apparently). The car won't talk to their diagnostics so they can't clear the fault. With luck it should be fitted this afternoon.

I now find my Macbook is losing battery life fast and the charger only charges if the wire is fiddled with. Ok it's five years old but the last thing I need is a dodgy laptop at present!

I have decided to get my cars exorcised. The only way I can explain the constant issues is demonic possession. Today, first my Macbook power cable dies (it was 5 years old, they are known for it - perhaps Citroen did the wiring?) so I need to get into London to the Apple store otherwise I'll be without a computer. Get in the Black XM and in addition to the ABS warning light, the airbag light comes on and stays on.

Thinks to self, oh yippee another MOT fail (not long til that will be needed). Then I get to Westfield and press the button to wind down the window for a ticket at the barriers. Much groaning and clunking but no window movement. So the usual charade of get out of car etc. Of course as I leave the car park the window still doesn't work but the airbag light has gone off.

Now, I might think that is better news than it remaining on, but no, now I have a random fault.

This after spending the morning sorting the metal side trims with Russ's silver tape - so the thing is looking good.

I think I'll call the V6 Lucifer and the diesel Damien. Now where's the holy water and the crucifix?

Those two have been in cahoots haven't they. Have you been parking them too close to each other. They like to plot and scheme!

Now the blasted window is falling down of its own accord. An inch open to the elements. I need to use this on Friday for a long drive! Thinks unprintable thoughts and hunts out the duct tape.

The window is the usual snapped cable.

I was goal fixated Will - I hate shopping malls, especially at half term, and if I didn't get out quickly I might have been caught in the rush hour.

Had I known though, I might have had a quick look though!
