All my rhd V6 have F as confirmed by John, which does rather narrow down the options for replacement display! With regards, Matthew T.It's interesting that your temperature display is in F instead of C.

On Bank Holiday Monday I spoke to a bloke called Dave from SGS Engineering about re-gassing the glovebox strut. "No problem, we have a really good success rate with smaller struts". So, after he recited the mantra from the website, The struts are tested and gassed on the day they are received and shipped back on a next-day delivery service, I posted the strut on the Tuesday and when nothing had arrived by Friday I rang them to hear that it had not arrived.
Yeah right!
I got a call Monday to say it was finally done
and they would despatch that evening. It duly arrived yesterday and I fitted it this aft

It holds the lid up well but as it's now new the stress is put on the 25 year old clips to hold it down. So, for now, the lid is locked until it beds down

The cost of the re-gas is £8.50 plus VAT (£10.20) per strut but the return postage is £5.30 plus VAT via TNT which I think is disgraceful considering I paid £1.24 via Royal Mail to send it down there. Total cost of this re-gassed strut is therefore £17.80.
No problem with the product, it works fine - the service however . . .

Re: Gold 2.0Si
Neil, that's a great result. Well done, are you the first to do this?
I think £20 is okay to have something like that sorted. Beats trying to find a new old stock. Postage prices in this country are ridiculous at times, quite agree there.
I need to sort my glovebox out. I actually have a working gas strut in the Mandarin car, but need to swap over the catches from the grey one. Really looking forward to that little task.

I can't see me being the first to do this, Russ, surely someone else in Citroland must have done it.
I have no complaints about the re-gassed strut, and I agree that under £20 for a brand new strut is a good result. My winge is about the time it took to return it and the cost of return postage in comparison to my send postage.

Re: Gold 2.0Si
Justifiably so, it wasn't the best service. But as far as I know in this country you might be the first to have one regassed?????
I did some research into having my strut done, possibly with the company you used, but got no further than looking.

That is because one end needs modifying to fit a Mk 1.
Think I saw a Mk 1 one sorting for a few items last week.
Must label up a few cardboard boxes and start to sort as I go.
Still not found the Exclusive badge I promised XMX so may have to take them off a car

Re: Gold 2.0Si
Wow. Might round up all my dead s1 struts and get a job lot done!!
Nice result.. the next task now as you say Neil is to strengthen the release catch but its the not lid latchs that break its the release lever at the back.. but this is not caused by the lid latchs but by the fact that inside the release mechanisem theres two springs that control the lid latchs.. these are TOO strong for their needs and its the action against these the release lever has that causes the breakage after years of brittle from heat.
