Vince is doing the Mercedes more slowly now I've told him what you said!

The XM, being a working car is out and about today, so will get a good clean later this afternoon when he plans to start on it. Not that I need to power wash it, the storm is doing a fine job.

Haha.. Yea I'd do a merc more slowly unless it was a W126 S class.. then that' something else!

This has been reported before, IIRC.
The addition of 2T oil to standard diesel fuel (at 2%, mineral-type, not synthetic/semisynthetic) has a similar effect on many engines, making things smoother and quieter and with better low-down torque. No noticeable effect at high revs. Plenty on the web about this.

Effect with our RAV4 D4D is quite pronounced. On the 2.5, I cannot detect a difference.

To show how hard Vince works on the cars I think the pic says it all!

He's done a few rangies for people I know and always says he's shattered the day after but the results speak for themselves!

He's here tomorrow as well Russ - the Cosworth paint is exceptional as it has just been done, so it really is about getting a seriously deep shine.

But what a guy! I'd be in intensive care by now.

Paul - there's a growing queue! My black one will go on the market when the ABS is sorted, I really don't want to part with this one.

This afternoon, since the deluge stopped, I've been sealing the spoiler and rear washer to stop water getting into the tailgate on mine, then taken it for a drive and thought...I really like driving this car.
