The new DMF (Dual Mass Flywheel) was fitted to the Saab, the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) was removed from the Focus.

The DPF on this Focus was originally within the cat. It was blocked and the cat knackered so replaced with a new cat without dpf. It went through the test like this and has just had the ecu altered to stop it from counting every time it searches for the dpf.

Some bastard's had a go at my car!. No, not the XM, she's hibernating safe and sound, but my gorgeous black Xantia. Since I finished my taxi duties on Xmas day she's been parked up. Yesterday we went out in swmbo's Saab for the day, seeing as it was her birthday. This morning I was up at the crack of dawn for work and never noticed until I started driving. At first I thought I hadn't closed the door properly, or that the window was open slightly, but the wind noise wouldn't go away. On arriving at work I had a closer look and there was a gap at the top of the door - I could slide the ends of my fingers inside the door top. I left it until I finished work so I could have a look in the daylight and it seems someone has tried to jemmy the door from the top whilst it has been on the drive.

When the door is shut it is obvious from near or far that the door does not sit right at the top, but there is no obvious crease where it has bent. Not a drop of rust on the door, paintwork in cracking condition, and yet the door's now useless as the wind noise is too much to bear for anything but low speeds.

I could swing for 'em!

Put a block of wood in the door shut and bend it back in.

They bend back quite easily Neil. . Lean your back against the car.. put your knee just above the door bin lid that fold out and give the top of the door a pull... lower the window if you can to be safe. It's quite a known fact door frames are weak the Fords are the same.. hope the little s h i t s don't try again.. This is what Alan got two days before christmas on his XM....

Neil, so sorry to hear of this. It makes me really angry.

Hope that with the good advice from Paul and Will the door will be as right as rain again.
