Re-fitted and all working, although the conditions outside are so hideous, I've left all the trims 'til the weather improves.

Get back out there man, it's only a light breeze with the odd shower.

As a life member of the southern slackers and idlers union, I invoke my right immemorial to call any weather involving water and wind as a hurricane, such right being marked by me making my third mug of tea and lighting the fire.

Is this the S1 or S2 your Boot problem?? If S2 then a rusty part is a common thing on S2 cars...

S2. The S.1 boot is almost perfect (sometimes you have to press down on the lid to make sure it is totally latched but no problems otherwise).

All back in, with one screw left over. I know which, but I'll do it all again when the weather is more clement and the tailgate isn't dripping all over me.

Does it work properly now?

Just fitted some revelational technology which has transformed the car's illumination in the dark - yes, my new glasses have arrived. I feel like Helen Keller! With anti-glare coating I can make out everything, including pedestrians! (famous last words).

Tesco said it might be sixteen days, but the glasses took six, including Christmas. That's good.
