For Series-1 Xm in the UK there were three trim levels, Base, S and SE.

Engines could be 2.0 Carburettor, 2.0 Injection, 2.1 Turbodiesel, 3.0 V6

Very few carburettor Xm were sold and it was soon deleted from the range, but a Base carb version had no suffix.
Base petrol injection was known as 2.0 injection, so "I". There were no Atmospheric diesels for UK, so the base diesel was Turbo-D
Mid range was S for petrol, or SD for diesel.
Upper trim level was SE for petrol, or SED for diesel.

Series -2 XM had the monikers SX, VSX and Exclusive, which essentially correspond to Base, S and SE spec.

I'm sure you've worked out the the figures given in this thread are for UK Xm, but at the going rate it won't be too much longer before there are as many in the USA, as in the UK.
There are now more SM (99) and even GS/A (103), on the road in the UK than there are XM (91). The XM is now the most rare, series production, hydro-pneumatic Citroen on the road.

These HML figures are pretty confusing! My 1996 2.5 VSX (with MOT) must be quite rare now.
I'll be selling the vehicle very soon as my circumstances have changed a lot over the last few months and can't justify running two cars any longer.
Is there still a market for it? Like any other XM there are always jobs to do on it, but nearly everything works as it should

When you come to sell the car you will find the market, but I believe it is becoming stronger as the interest grows and the number of cars reduces.

The figures show there were 5 Taxed Xm VSX diesel with manual gearboxes. I know one is an estate, one or two are 2.1Td (black and green, if Taxed), so that leaves three 2.5 TD VSX saloons.
All TD auto's are 2.1TD.

There is an Xm numbers by model attachment in the Q4-2025 update, which should make it easy to see how many of each version are still taxed.

When I purchased the car the then owner thought there was only 1 2.5 VSX estate taxed, so it looks like my estate is one of 2 now on the road

I'll certainly get photos etc etc onto the site when I'm ready to test the market, which will be in there very near future

Or only the one if it's the same one as shown as Taxed in Q4-2025 and you bought it in 2026.

I bought it in early 2025 and only MOT'd it in January 2026, so I reckon its number 2 of that particular spec XM

It must be, as I am aware of a white one that was taxed at end of Q4-2025, sold in 2026. What colour is yours?

Was that the one laid up in a storage unit for some time and subsequently had a cracked windscreen and missing roof rails?

This one, which appears very tidy. viewtopic.php?f=11&t=10909

Yours must be the second 2.5 estate, as I am aware of a white one that was taxed at the end of 2025.

No , not that one but its done almost identical mileage to mine at 157K

Once I've gotten the small leak fixed on the front suspension return pipe I'll get pics etc as it will then be ready for sale
