Thanks Norman yes - today was my Aunt's funeral and I didn't know when family were going to disappear, but they've gone a couple of days earlier than I thought, so I'll be in touch tomorrow to organise popping over for them.

So weather good enough and drive clear enough to do the interior. Of course, I start to run out of Brisk Extra so the last bits were done with too low a concentration, but as a half way point the results are very pleasing.

The front seats and carpets are the most soiled - it looks like the honest dirt of 20 years rather than any staining, which is good.



Halfway through the front and the contrast between clean and unclean is very noticeable!



Both front seats done - the driver's is still a bit soiled but infinitely better. Another wash at proper concentration and I think this will all come up perfectly.



The water left in the wet and dry after vacuuming (and I cleaned the receptacle out before use!) is a touch on the dark side.



The front carpets are still in need of another session, but under a mat much of this will never be important.

Having seen the car the day you picked it up I'd love to see it again and marvel at the difference!

At this rate you'll be in contention for concours wins at the rallies next season

I think my plans for the front speakers will kybosh any concours stuff, but my satisfaction levels with the way it has come up are now registering in the smug zone. Still got to do the boot (that is going to be a hose job on the carpet!) and the engine bay, but I might pop up next week Jim.

Wow...looking really good Charles. Amazing the difference of the before and after. Must smell fresh as a daisy now!

Despite standing for some time in muddy places it didn't smell too bad, no smokers in the past by the smell, but it certainly smells now of the finest industrial detergent £3 can buy!
