I didn't. But i did smooth it out with a dry cloth and in doing so you push the liquid out. It worked well.

Eldest daughter saw the COTY sticker on my XM.
Her comment:

I'm not sure that any UK spec XM got one, if so, only very late ones.

Oh, I see. My 1995 V6-12 Exclusive I had for 9 years (95-04) had one too.
