Yes it is a shame, still rather close to Jim but i doubt he would want it back, he never seemed to really gel with the car and probably isn't interested in a project. It would be a good project for someone local but moving dead cars can be a costly game.

If it was down here i would have done it for a bit of fun.

Tell us the general area where you are based and you may find some local help.

Hi ben.. you need to start a new thread on the car...

I beleve its a broken cam belt but it is head off job.. for specific tct head parts Dean (who is on here) is the man to contact. However.. most other stuff i do have in an S1 hoard stock... so do ask if anything is needed..

Yes im throughly pleased to hear it survive. I was after this car twice previously and didnt get it.. mainly because its black!

Hi Ben,

Glad to hear the car has survived and will be restored.

I'm about 15 miles from Ashby and am currently breaking a Series 1 TD manual and have a selection of other parts.

Well that is good news Ben, this car has had a lot of love lavished on it in the past and you will find some history on it in Citrojims blog on the Frenchcarforum, it was also on the isle of wight at one point a few years back.
Plenty of help on here should you need it and let me know if you need any head parts.

I think most XM owners need a few head parts.
