He had a beard. So it was more like 25%!

I suspect the probability is actually much higher one than one instantly thinks. Still, it tickled my fancy on a morning when I met someone with 2 XMs, 2 CXs who also wants an SM, and then a hi-fi loving W124 owner who has an SM (I don't have a beard though...)

With the odds at 50%, you should have tried again - then it would!

PS I have a beard, does this matter?

I'm keen to know too as I also have a beard...

It was in a one in two probability he would have an SM (a la Gabor) and a one in two probability he'd have a beard.

So he could be bearded and have an SM, not bearded and have an SM, not bearded and not have an SM and bearded and not have an SM.

I'm not sure where this is going but trying to find a whole load of binary choices to reduce the probabilities....

This is all rapidly confirming that Monty Python is still very much alive and well in XM-land.

"This is a dead parrot...... "

Sorry someone had too!

It has ceased to be, certainly on my drive.

And when you have an XM you must always look on the bright side of life

I'd imagine many of us have a great love for the works of Douglas Adams too, especially his trilogy of five books dealing with galactic travel...

As I shall say to my XM at the appointed time "So long and thanks for all the fun..."

And my XM's rear bumper sports the legend..'powered by infinite improbability drive'.
