I think the swirl generating coil is the whole problem. It's there to assist with heat transfer by keeping the coolant mixing round, but I think removing it and accepting sligthly less heat output would be a good idea as it would remove the reason why the matrix suffers blockage and the likelyhood of jetting.

If I go ahead with the rads I will ask about remanufacture/modification of the other items.
including the heater core.
