Someone has then changed the Phillips for a Clarion, it WONT be compatible with the steering controls either. They use different connections between S1 and S2.
The Clarion RDS Black faced radio was only fitted from 1992 K reg to 1994 Early M S1 cars. A good unit, which also has built in Clarion CD changer controller built in to use with the CDC9250 cd changer units.
