Ahhh bad luck with the glove box Jim.. The early S2's on M, N and P had no passenger air bag, or it was optional, and they have a much larger glove box, with a Catch that ALWAYS works!

Can give you an S2 FULL glove box jim if you want, remove the dash bulb and bin and passenger air bag and fit a proper glove box..

Yes Paul, silver is the best S2 colour, well that and Mauritus. I also hope it has the spider like alloys. Very nice!

I had no idea how the S2 glove box worked, until I had the SX courtesy car. Quite a surprise!! Tiny though and a little bit inaccessible.


I'm still in slight shock you have done this Jim, but great to hear everything is now 'cleared' as you say and you can enjoy cars again.

Urrghh no.. not for me.. i find the dash far more plasticey more so around the steering area on the dash where the rear wipe switches are (s2 owners will know where i mean) and they are too similar to xantia dash style and the left hand displays always need fixing...

however .. the s2 DOES have much improved sound insulation and deadening .. a nice bonus. but ive pleanty of s1 bits and prefer the more spacious s1 dash too...

Me too. I noticed the S2 is certainly more refined. But it's the S1 interior that I much prefer.....it matches the exterior design far better.
Whilst I'm having ago at S2 cars...sorry....I hate the swirly hubcaps on SX models. Yuk!

Russ, couldn't agree more about those plastic hub caps.....that's why I got alloys waiting to be put on......need spring time and get rid of winter tyres! True Michelins on Alloys do improve a lot!
