Jim

the reason I mentioned is that they finally did a thyroid check on mrs MO to discover it was a bit out of kilter. She is much better after going onto Thyroxin.

Mrs MO has to 'crash' if she's done too much and it takes a couple of days to recover again.

Paul was the last person to see me alive as it were as we enjoyed a very pleasant meal and a natter on Thursday during my epic tour of Wales to deliver Paul some wheels and bring my daughter home from uni.

I can currently read posts but making sense of them and making any sensible reply is another thing entirely. I'll be back when I've recovered a bit more...
starting to feel bad because i kept you talking Jim... being fully aware how Yiud may be the next day.. naughty me..

Paul! Listen! It was nothing to do with you or the evening, which I really enjoyed :D I'd have not missed it for the world.

It was events leading up and after... Not because we had a good natter and the excellent meal in the pub. That was, apart from seeing Robyn, the highlight of my trip.

Unfortunately it's in the nature of the beast. Overdo it just a bit over a period of days - which I had - and whallop! We call it boom and bust and refer to what happens then as a crash. It happens. ME is characterised by a series of remissions and relapses. You know that I've had plenty of crashes in the past and they can happen very easily. Problem is, just before they happen you are invariably feeling good and full of beans. That gives you a bit of a false sense of security, push it a bit more than you should and then everything goes pop. As I say, it comes with the territory

And if you don't practice pacing enough or properly the ratio of relapses to remissions goes very much in the direction of relapses.

So stop feeling any responsibility for it! It wasn't you - in fact just the opposite :D

Campbell, although my doc said I was OK Thyroid-wise I shall ask her to recheck me on my next visit. I read that you can suffer hypothyroidism without showing any of the classic symptoms so it's worth a deeper check - Thanks for the heads-up on that :D

And Paul, stop worrying ;)
