Where I lived in Kent a lot of the roads were 'closes' with a large turning area at the end, we used to get quite a lot of snow every winter and there were not many cars about then, if you drove into the close, just started to turn the wheel and then braked hard the back would swing round leaving you facing the right direction to drive out - didn't do the TVs inside a lot of good though
