Im not a Fan of poverty spec.. Im undecided as theres a lot of S1 interior spares there which I dont have ... It would make a good car, but really could do with strut tops (Cant you rescue ANY at all Andrew???) and the door - those are the two biggest costs against it living at the moment. Well, the door isn't a big cost really... but the strut tops are..

She drives lovly, I drove her there and parked her, as she was legal when I bought her..

The spoiler is NOT attached to the boot either, when I close the boot it jumps up on the drivers side.. lol..

Im ALSO really after a manderin bonnet and drivers wing for my SED too...



Not very clear, but the bonnet is bent from a previous strut through bonnet, and the drivers wing is seriously discoloured...

Was going to use this D for the panels because of strut top issues.. however andrew, if you have a FULL Manderin car with all these good bits, we could have a deal instead of a wasted car..???

OK, I must be odd, but I quite like the simplicity and honesty of the base models.
If I want bells and whistles I can drive an SEi or Exclusive spec car but be honest,
how often do you adjust the seat, armrest and mirrors when you drive
the car? Once in your life's ownership of the car when you first ever drive it home?

And ABS and alloys and seat belt pretensioners? Depends gow you drive and where
you drive and whether the car MUST have some bling to impress bystanders??

It looks like I may have a temporary reprieve for some but not all the cars.
I'm already saving the other 30...

There an almost certainty that a gold Si, a blue i and at least a couple if not all
four red cars will be weighed in soon.

...and as for leather interiors, don't get me started!

I didnt ask that andrew.. i asked if you had a spare manderin car.. then this base and my sed would both benfit from it... as for gizmos.. i adjust mirrors all the time to see around me certainly when reversing...

Yes, I missed the second half of your post at the top of the page, you must've edited yours as I was posting
a reply!! I've got some pictures on my phone of the first to go red J plater which I'll post for you. I'd rather
the cars lived on in some way if only as spares. I never had planned to get rid of these and all can be fixed to
become daily runners again - something I had wanted to do at my leisure.

It's a shame to see these cars going, but recovering strut tops is a must if you can, even when the lorry comes along, if necessary.

The scumbags stealing all my barn contents dragged and engine and a Xantia rear
subframe over the bonnet and wing ruining an otherwise mint bodyshell car plus
breaking a mirror for good measure - the car needs a HG and that's it - once one
of the softest riding Xm's I've ever driven but all gone flat now.

Which wing got damaged..? the passenger one? the bonnet looks fine or is this a before picture?? L plater! The BEST Xm year to have.. most reliable electrics no air bag.. perfect..
