Actually I'd be Ok with that. I'm not really after a petrol but did ask him how much for the car, hence the vague figure as he can get a sensible amount for the car weighed in, the tyres, the exhaust, alloys weighed in..and the cat.

Being a bit mean I've not published his number yet as I would like the strut tops if the car does go scrap. I spoke to somewhere I've been in contact with recently and someone with a number of XM's has had the tops I was considering.

If the car is going scrap I'd like to see as much of it used as possible.

More info;

The car is a 2.0sei manual showing 103k miles but the speedo isn't working, but it has some history including MOT until May 17th 2011 and even a months tax left on it.
The colour code is ENT Cobalt Blue Metallic.

The car is in pretty good shape with a few faults.
The drivers window is down, the nosecone has a crack below the o/s sidelight, the front fog lamp has been broken since yesterday, there is a small rub mark on the passenger wing near the side repeater and the n/s front door has a small crease as if it's been forced open too far and caught the retaining strap.

He is happy for the car to go whole, otherwise it will go for scrap soon.


He has had 2 XM for scrap previously... one a 2.1and one which sounds like it was a V6-24v manual... (anyone feeling sick yet?)

I'll PM the members that have shown interest so far, we need to move quickly on this though.
