very amateurish....too organised! But I didn't take enough photos of things, especially the fusebox plugs underneath it... Lesson learnt.

Mystery wire solved. It's to do with the alarm siren and little switch.
LHM tank pipes sorted. Exhaust this afternoon.... Eeeek! but I did fine the bolts from the other car and they are basically new.
New driveshaft seals arrived today too, and two new lower engine mounts from Matthew.

So many new things!

It doesn't matter how you plug the fuse box in, it will work as there is only power through the fuses, if your not sure you have it right then pull the solid links out and replace them with 40a fuses in case of future shorts or electrical failure.

Cheers Dean. That's interesting about the fusebox. It's only two plugs I'm unsure about. The looped one and the light blue wire one. Not sure if they are meant to be the other way round. Anyway... I can upgrade the fuses if needs be.

Exhaust now joined, and one of the drive shaft seals done. Other seal tomorrow and coolant shopping tomorrow morning... Exciting!

I don't get it either I prefer to spend money on nicer things and then there is the issue of getting good rid of the old coolant soon after..

Well I spent barely 5 minutes in GSF this morning and bought Prestone 5 year long life antifreeze. They didn't have enough ready mix so I got concentrate and distilled water instead.


I'm going to rant now about Citroen. They have been doing a 24hr test drive promotion this month to test drive any of their cars. They bugged me with emails, so I thought why the hell not. Let's see what a Cactus is like for a day. Booked it through their website, and then you have to wait for your selected Dealer to call back and arrange a day. They called back this morning, .."sorry we are not actually part of the test drive promotion, but we can let you have a cactus for two hours." I declined... Politely.

I have decided our Citroen dealer is totally useless. If they are exempt, why were they an option on the main Citroen dealer website. I really don't know why I bother with them.

Make sure you get all the previous coolant out, Russ, if you're changing to a different type of coolant - especially if it's Long Life OAT type. This does not mix well with standard stuff. Flush and flush and flush with water, if in doubt. Distilled is the only wise choice for diluting, as you say.

It's compatible with standard glycol Chris. It's not a long life OAT coolant, it's extended life for 5 years. Although I won't be leaving it for five years.
