unfortunatly not REAL drugs, just antibiotics, taking them a few days and feeling almost fine now although i was on the mend when i got them.
Was it a good one this year? ive been to all of them for the last 5 years i think and really enjoy them.

Have you finished that engine swap yet?

I thought Russ was going to bring the car to the Rally to show us how to put an engine in.

I heard that this was actually going to be part of the sunday tech corner headline act, i can only imagine the disapointment on the face of the crowd when they found out it wasnt so.

^^ LOL.

Russ didn't look too amused at not showing everyone his famous 1 Hour engine swap trick...He still looked put-out when I arrived.

Thanks Dean, that pic summed up the disappointment...They were mortified..... They all were looking forward to it. Instead I did the graphics for the rally instead, and that took my time up! HA!

I have started and the car is currently on stands with no front on it. Things are being disconnected in an orderly fashion. I haven't resulted to a LandRover and tow rope yet. I refuse to rush!

The rally was great. There are more plans and ideas for next year. So hopefully it's going to keep improving. For what is a fresh start, it's succeeded I think. So much so, the team who organised it, have been asked to sort out the national rally from now on.

That is an interesting and encouraging development Russ and hopefully they have the time and energy to take on both events! With regards, Matthew T.

Glad it turned out to be a great rally.
I am feeling better each day now, doing things isn't quite as draining as it was.
Who won what too, shed of show etc etlc.

That's good. But do follow doctors orders. Use all the antibiotics up. Finish the course!

There was only one trophy at the Chevrons, in memory of Citronut. Decided by rally goers, so it was all fair. It was a very nice trophy actually, engraved cut glass. His wife was there to announce the first winner of it. And it was a very nice AX GT that won. Second was a White BX 16V GTI and third was Paul Handleys BX Hurricane. A GS won the organisers car of the show.
No shed of the show, but the chevrons organisers are looking for feedback, so things might change next year.
