You're right....Xantia without Hydractive. My Czech is non-existent (bez=without).
That explains the larger orifice, to allow some degree of softness into a non-H system.

Anyway, Dean, that one's for the bin, I guess.

You could weld up and re-drill the centre oriface as a trial.

There is no point, they are spent, they are plenty good enough for a regass or a stopgap if you happen to have a non Ha Xantia with flat spheres and an empty wallet, think I will take them along to CXM and chuck them in the free corner.

Be good fun trying to make up a matched pair!
OK if you have more time than money. ;)
I think Dean's idea is a better one.

After a bit of use I've come to the conclusion the spheres will stay as they are, its not as soft obviously but it does ride and handle much better on proper balls, the under damped spheres actually made the ride less comfortable overall.

Odd, that it rides better as Citroen designed it... ;)

Yeah yeah, that coming from the man who drilled his dampers out too ;)
Mind you to make the most of hyperactive I do wonder about fitting a larger volume sphere at the correct pressure to the back, a flat front reg sphere should do it.

0.1mm...

The early car setup is renowned for being too brittle. Even at 0.7mm, the orifice is still smaller than later versions...

So I got cracking at about 6 this evening after getting back from a day at the mil's :|

Got the electro valve out and the short of it is there are no issues with it at all, the issue is with the fitting and the way it has crushed a hydraulic pipe into the chassis which transmitted and somewhat amplifies the noise but I will go into that in more detail in the other thread when finished, possibly even grumble about the nice chap the prepped up the subframe all those years ago and maybe even the robot that fitted the subframe..........

In other news the subframe has been down and swapped the arb bushes for nice new ones, not a bad job at all if not completely necessary but at least I got to replace them and know they are good while dealing with other issues.

Bed time now but will update later in the week once I've moved/ re piped the silly pipe and its back together and I've had a drive as the body movement sensor plug was grubby but I don't think that could have caused my issues, got a few other avenues to go down but confident the issues will be rectified, watch this space.

Bushes both changed, the n/s one was fairly oval and the o/s was just slightly worn out but pretty evenly, there didn't seem to be anything wrong with them but the arb is much tighter now with less lateral movement, will let you know if they are worth changing.

The electro valve is changed and the pipes re-routed, it is much quieter than the other one now it's fitted with a much more solid click, not sure if it will make any difference, got another body sensor on and the arm adjusted a little and the wiring cleaned up.

For info the n/s bush is actually easier to change despite looking like a right barsteward and dropping the subframe is a breaze.
A few other annoyances were sorted while it was down, just want to leave it until the broad light of day to centre the subframe and torque it down, get the strut pipes back in place and clean up the lhm I spilt all over the engine bay
