Embarrassingly its been a while....but then I find its a strange detached feeling posting when you don't have an xm on the road :?

Ok, so this afternoon I had a good chat with Linda and told her that im sick of what I do as my day job and I need to change things or I can see myself heading down the road of ill health and god forbid a heart attack in years to come....ive just had enough of working beneath ever increasing sales targets and the stress and shi@ that comes with it all....so im looking for a new job ;)

She took it quite well as she gets nervous when I want to change companies / jobs as you enter into the unknown a bit, but then nothing is guaranteed anymore in any company ;)

What this means is the xm is going to need to return to active duty if I get a new position as the Nissan will go along with my current job :)

Im aiming to get a job in Manchester city centre ideally, that way I get to spend more time in the city that I love, but also I can get the tram or train to work each day leaving the xm for social and domestic use only.

No matter what however, I need to get a list of jobs that need doing to get her MOT ready and get my brother in law over to get them done!

The first job will have to be the o/s/r brake light which has stopped functioning. the bulb is fine and holder as ive tried the n/s/r one and it appears to be an electrical feed issue....or an earth more than likely. As my brother in law is a mechanic and self confessed autoelectrical problem solver, he is the man for the job.

The only money I have stashed is £100 which would go great for getting the o/s/f inner cv boot done, but I have that reserved for a trip to London in a few weeks when im taking Linda down for her birthday, so I could do with getting another car job to come along ;)

For anyone on facebook, ive created a Pallas Auto Refinishing page....I'll post up a thread in the general section for some help promoting it...its my xm fund raiser you see...the more cars I get done, the faster I can return it to the road again  Im looking forward to being able to drive it again that's for sure :)

If I here of anything job wise Vince I'll drop you a line but it's easier to find a job when your in one.

Get your LinkedIn profile sorted and as many references on it from people you know as you can then register with loads of job agencies and consider contracting and setting up your own company.

Good luck Vince. Hope you find a job that will provide the challenges and rewards you need. At least you have made a start and that can often be the hardest part.
The Facebook page is effective and should help to boost that business with a bit of luck.

Well worth doing Vince. Last two jobs I've had from the references on there and as more and more companies take the stance of basic references it helps even more.

Indeed there is, not least me

I'm going through a very ridiculously busy time again due to work and Robyn being forbidden to drive due to an eye problem she has.. I really am Dad's Taxi again..

The XM did two runs to Oxford and back today...
