E30 325...lovely car...had one myself for a while :)

Ive always said that about hydraulic citroens....no one would usually nick one as they aren't rated by anyone other than a previous owner...and we are too nice people for that kind of behaviour

For the ultimate theft deterent,....a hydraulic citroen...diesel :P

A member on here, Broyty, had one stolen by joyriders who hit a telegraph pole at high speed, chopping the car into bits and them also.

I'd be prepared to sacrifice an XM for a couple of joyriders quartered...

For anyone wondering, I'm still about, the XM is going well with a fresh MOT and all is good. There’s some interesting projects going on in my workshop and health and happiness-wise things are very good indeed.

I'm presently taking a long break from the forums. I spend 9 very intense hours a day four days a week staring at PC screens and bashing keyboards at work and to be honest it is the last thing I wish to do now at home. I've not lost interest in the cars at all and in fact in my workshop I'm busier and keener than ever. I'm just not keen or interested in looking at a screen and tapping keys any more and when I'm home from the office I need to do something more outdoor or energetic rather than staring at yet another keyboard and screen.

I will always respond to PMs and emails and can be found intermittently on FaceBook.

Anyone on here is always very welcome to visit, drink tea, eat cake and talk Citroen.

I will see you all at the rallies this year but I would appreciate if some kind soul might PM me to let me know when they are on.

This is not goodbye, just au revior for now... I'm sure I'll be back at some point in the future.... Maybe when work becomes less intense and demanding and I can find an interest in looking at a PC screen at home again...

Get a tablet. No more excuses of not wanting to look at a PC screen and keyboard then... :-)

Jim, I'll miss your frequent postings here, and all your kind words and encouragement. Hopefully the eyes will get less square and more spherical, along with all that hands-on therapy!

Best wishes,

Having something better to do than talk on a PC is a sign your life is good...long may it continue to be the case.

Thanks all :D I will be back!

Gabor, I've tried laptops and tablets and a laptop is too much like a PC and a tablet I just can't get on with at all...

Indeed, that is part of it Will. I'm out of the house weekday mornings at 06:15 to go to the pool where I do at least 40 lengths before work, then a hard but sedentary day at work needs to be worked off with a good session of exercise when I return home not before 5 and then after cooking and sorting out essential stuff for the next day there's not really much day left before bed calls. I'm in bed often between 8 and 9 ready for my up at 4:15 ready to do all the domestic stuff before the start of the day.

I'm doing two karate sessions a week now and on top of a much busier social life generally...

Biggest problem is that although I'm physically good after work I'm more often than not absolutely mentally exhausted and can barely string a coherent sentence together or digest much of what I read... I think that really is the root of the problem now I come to think about it after a relatively quiet weekend mentally... Looking at past posts I've really written some old tosh and that I think is the cause.

Weekends are full and still very much spent playing cars and cooking which does give the brain a good rest! I eat nothing processed and all is cooked from scratch.

I don't know which bit of what I'm doing is working but it is and I'm scared to stop anything in case it all implodes on me...
