Im gonna drop my headlining, and fit a working sunroof and check all drains on the 2.1 D Im working on seeing as I have decided NOT to take the pedal box out and fit Air Con...

Its gonna be a mixed bag. Base Dual Zone Heater, but with S/SE spec with Dot Matrix LH Display, and all electric leather and electric windows..

No matter how much you search for the offending bit Russ, for some bloody reason it always seems to be the most stupid, silly part that you've dismissed over and over again.

Cheers guys, it took long enough. Bloody seals! I think the sun must have baked it to near death in the summer and clearly effected the seals. So we will see if it continues to stay dry.

Well Paul...at least your car will be a bespoke one off. Why not build it to your own spec! go for it.

Shes a 2.1 D auto Base. Standard spec, elec front (only) windows, elec mirrors, dual zone manual heater, manual seats...

As said above making her an SEd minus Air Con, but NO Climate either. Im leaving in the manual dual zone heater. So Ive having to alter wiring harness ONLY because the car is a 94, and fit a different engine harness, different front engine bay harness, and front dash loom too!!!

BUT, if I do it again, Ill make damm sure the two cars will be the SAME YEAR!!!

Yeah...might be a good idea! It's interesting how things are developed through their production lives.

Well I hope it all goes together okay. It really is sounding unique. But think of it this way...less to worry about not having aircon. Better mpg too.

I could sense a hint of frustration with the looms and diagrams!
hope Steve's loom fits and works okay.

I'm keeping an eye on Cromptons hydractive issue...I know mine is H1 but Will's post about the message got me thinking....Could not remember if mine did or not. And it does. So on mine at least...no sport light, but message works and switch, ECU and electrovalve work too.
A trip to Jims to have a proper look, hopefully will happen soonish! I have a feeling, mine might be down to low system pressure, (or a sensor has given up the ghost somewhere)...causing it to get stuck in sport mode. Just a hunch, most obvious faults I suppose. Reason I think low system pressure is the front sinks quite quickly if put on high setting.

Anyway we will see.

Topped up with some derv today, my fuel gauge goes on strike if the level in the tank gets low,...and it was very low...been guessing the level for ages! With £20 worth of fuel in it. I now have a working fuel gauge.
Other issue is the glow plug light has given up the ghost. So either dodgy connections or earths or the bulb has blown. Which is quite possible as the light, although intermittent, did used to work for a while and then naff off for a bit and then come back on line. But for a long time now, it is all dark in that corner of the clocks.

Apart from that...still seems to be dry in there.

Thanks Jim.. I know I keep meaning to come over, things just seem to get in the way. This month is a bit hectic, so it might have to be in January if you don't mind.
