If it's not leaking water into the car then I don't think covering does any good at all as it just traps water and condensation.

If you made a frame to lift the cover off the car I think it would work.

The only really way to make them breathable is for them to get a bit of heat inside them and the material to be as close to goretex as possible, it's the only really breathable material out there and sets the standard for a good reason
Running the engine every few weeks and letting the interior get nice and warm with a window just slightly open helps, even better if you have ac and set it on recirc
Have you tried flushing the front drain tubes out Vince or thought about using masking tape around the sunroof instead to keep it facing forward

I'm with you two. Don't really like the idea of moisture being trapped under the cover.

Re: Vince's xm
Maskin tape VERY untidy - use a good quality silicone sealeant, between the roof and glass seal then it doesnt make a mess of the roof edge when it gets older and gooey..
Carcoon is fine INSIDE a barn, as it uses a small pump to keep it inflated. But Im not so sure about it outside in the roughs of the yard..

Re: Vince's xm
Na...totally impractical for outside!!!
would get popped by a passing badger or something! ...Quite cool invention though.
I wouldn't put any adhesive tape on the bodywork for a long period of time. It will eat into the paint and be a sod to get off. One thought however, is to use dingy tape on the rubber seal and glass only. I have been using that, and it works a treat.

Re: Vince's xm
Thanks for the ideas guys...im just going to leave it exposed to the elements....ill give it a wash down every now and again, but I know the sunroof wont leak with it parked the way it is now....I should be able to jump start it also if I put the nissan in next doors driveway
Will, what happens if I just leave the suspension on high without blocks? would it over stress the strut tops?
When ive left the car on axle stands on the subframe the subframe tends to dent with the weight acting down on it...I like the idea of keeping the load of the tyres but im worried about the subframe really....

Re: Vince's xm
Oooo NOOOO Dont leave her on High Vince.
On her low setting she will be on her bump stops.. However, if you stack say 3 bricks at each corner, IE: under the rear subframe just behind the leading edge of the rear wheel, and under the rear end of the front subframe, then that will take some weight off the suspension points...
