Russ's 2.1 SED Auto now in Mandarin

The second day I had my Xantia, I had to pick up folks from the airport. I hadn't noticed the rear seat was soaking wet After this disgrace, I blew that rubber hose and it never ever happened again.

On the more positive side, as stated my 2 old XM's don't leak but the CX does and the 2cv well...... So that's even.

On the more arrogant side: thanks to the good old youtube I assisted in fixing a 2008 BMW X that was bought for 95000 euro's and needed some soldering in it's electronic bag of niceties.... And if there's anything I don't like, it is just that.... (electronic failures, BMW's, soldering) But success felt sweet and the owner of that car liked my XM so all good now! Happy days! 7 seconds from 0 to 60 miles for a 2 ton car, not bad!

I hope you won't get the opportunity in a long time to test your now waterproof sunroof.

I've always said that Citroen were in the wrong business - they should have made kitchen equipment. Specifically colanders and sieves...

Peugeot invented the pepper grinder....Citroen certianly would have excelled in colanders...I like it Jim!



Hey nice one Jaap. clever soul!! I assume it is an X5... Tanks those things. A neighbour has bought one...god knows why, doesn't suit him at all. Been better off with a Range Rover. He parks it in our lane and totally blocks it.
My drain hoses are all draining well. I think it was just me that caused that water in the rear foot well.

Well it is nearly leak free. Bit more to fill and hopefully it will be water tight. I really don't hold much hope it will last that long.

Well I have put back the interior on the passenger side. I got a hair dryer on the roof lining and rear foot well carpet....worked a treat.
I have hopefully finally plugged the leak on the sunroof panel. So I am letting it all set before popping it back in. (I did a water test and nothing got through...so it's a good sign...I hope ).Then it's fingers crossed it all works. Better do. Had enough now!!

How this happened I don't know. But the plastic clip has broken off...all twisted, and the light unit was hanging out. Anyway all fixed, I bent the middle pin out of the metal clip back into the hole and it seems to be quite secure.

Just not sure if someone has done this, or if it's done it by itself.

I suspect the plastic retainer just broke.

I wouldn't be at all surprised really Will. Maybe a big gust of wind blew it out!

Well Jaap, its actually brown parcel tape, and it is doing a very good job at keeping all this rain out of the car.
The sunroof is still sitting on the Kitchen table ready to go back into the car, but the weather has been so dreadful i havent had the oppurtunity yet. I am aslo a little relcutant as it seems a black plastic bag is doing a better job than the original design!
