The plastic quality in my DS3 was quite low rent. The upper dashboard moulding was ok, but lower down was the horrible scratchy plastic. The ride quality was hard work as well. Fine on a smooth motorway, but tiring everywhere else. It was a relief to jump back into the XM. The handling was also compromised by the diesel engine up front. Always pushing wide through the corners.

Drive shaft seal replacement went very smoothly.
The seal only cost me 13 euro's at the Citroen dealer...
and it was in a sealed plastic PSA bag with the date of September 2013. So possibly these things are still being produced again. That's good news I think.
No more leaking so far.

I did find a loose plastic bolt and was wondering what it is..

Fantastic Jaap. Haven't got the slightest clue where that plastic plug thing goes though....not something to do with the plastic under tray?

I ought to recognise that plastic bolt Jaap. let me think. It's still a bit early yet
Good work on the seal
No problems getting the driveshaft intermediate bearing out of it's housing then?

Good work on the seal

No problems Jim, even though it supposedly lived there for a long time. Just used a chisel and a big hammer and hit it at both sides and a bit of fish oil before hand (WD 40)

Isn't the bolt and air filter case 1/4 turn bolt?

Re: These, are the voyages of the starship Turby D.

It took me 4 hours to get home yesterday.
Some utter fool overtook me, a van in front of me and a big dumper truck in front of that, in a lunatic way in pissing rain. It was a suicidal thing to do, believe me.
Some minutes later, I stopped for another stopped car with the female driver out of the car..still in the pissing rain..... I thought she had a puncture or else but no, a Volvo had left the road spectacularly. So we struggled in the bog towards the car and to be honest I thought the driver would be in a bad way or worse and was preparing myself for a big nightmare I once experienced before years ago. But the driver was only slightly injured and got out himself before we reached him. He had lost his memory and didn't know where we was. Since there's no phone coverage there and the guy was walking, we helped him in my car and decided to drive him to Clifden hospital. He didn't get worse on the 40 minute drive to the hospital but still could not remember where he was going but he knew alright who he was etc. and did not get any worse.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, this 66 year old Dub was going to some court case (!!!!!!!) and could easily have killed other road users including himself by being such an utter fool. He did not recall what happened but stated he was a good driver but that speed kills.....

So please drive carefully folks, please. Do not rely on whips, airbags and the lot and always use your seat belt. I've had to find dead people once in a crashed car. Trees will always win no matter what car you drive.
This retired Dub, he was an utter fool calling himself in my car....a good driver. I kept my mouth shut and delivered him at my own expense to the hospital and do not want to ever see him again, especially on the road.
Pic isn't great but if he would have had a passenger, I do not know. Wrecked my work clothes climbing over the barbed wire as well arrghhhh
