Thinking on Russ, it was when my 405 was parked on a sideways slope it used to happen. Parked flat and level, never a problem.

The rain today would have made a Tupperware box leak...

Too right Jim. All day it has been raining and at lunchtime it was like a monsoon. No wonder I have a soggy headlining.

Well I did skive of this afternoon and had a look at the sunroof again. Weather has been really nice...so perfect for playing cars!
The drain tubes were both attached and free flowing. I put some cable ties on them to secure them and hopefully stop and water backtracking past the rubber. I chucked a load of water down the tubes once I had done it and nothing seemed to be leaking. But I do wonder if new ones are needed.

The drivers side was all dry, which is good. Headlining all dried out. The passenger side is sopping still, so I have left it all in bits to let it dry out. Get some air in between it all. when I went out, it was misted up on that side of the car. ;)

So after an all important cuppa, I stripped out the passenger side carpet and underlay. There was water, not as bad as the other side, but enough to get it all out and dry it properly. The a pillar behind the trim was quite wet. So all dry now...apart from the headlining. I think it needs a hair dryer!

We are due some more rain tomorrow, so you can guess what I will be doing whilst it is chucking it down!

I now think that the sunroof weather seal has had it. There was some water ingress in the front passenger corner under the glass. So it had to of got under the seal and got in. Annoying. So I either have to seal it more...messy and probably not going to work, or find a new one.

Anyone know if citroen still supply them?

I think I also need to look at the adjustment of the sunroof panel. It still isn't quite right. Again annoying, as I did get it spot on when it first went back in. ;)

So there we are...car is in further bits and state of undress. Just goes to show how much it rained yesterday. I just want to put it all back together. Fed up with it now.
If non of this works....I am seriously considering sealing the glass panel in place!!
Mind you a car cover would be cheaper!

I feel your pain Russ as my sunroof still leaks on the front edge, but its not as bad as it was at one point. Luckily for me my driveway is angled so the car is normally parked nose up. Like that it doesn't leak at all as the rear drains are no doubt better at coping with water than the fronts.

Here is a question.....are the rear drains or the trailing edge of the sunroof aperture bigger than the front? The reason I ask is if your tubes are clear on the front and it still leaks, is it when the amount of incoming water gets above the flow rate possible down the front tubes?. I.e does it pool up and spill over?

Car covers are great by the way....mine is nose down (so I can jump start it from the Nissan) and its always bone dry :P

The front leakage is probably the motor mounts. Seal with silicon.

Good question, I still don't understand why the water that finds it's way through the seal, isn't being caught in the drain which you recently made waterproof and just escapes via the the 4 outlets. Was you car parked sideways in anyway I mean parked in some angle maybe..

Well chaps, at this stage it is a bit of a mystery, but i have plans up my sleeve.
Will I have siliconed the motor mounts. The damp is at the corners by the drains, not by the light panel. What has happened i think, is the amount of water we had on Monday, simply overloaded the front drain tube, also not helped with it being parked on a slight camber forcing the water to drain to one side. But it coped before..... :|
I also think the water is backtracking past the drain tube and the little outlet pipe and escaping that way. So hopefully a tight tiewrap will stop that.
I am more concerned at finding water where I didnt want to find it. Under the sunroof glass...

It is chucking it down now, so heaven knows what i'll find! Still the interior bits i removed is all dried out now. I think I really might have to invest in a car cover. :D
