  Careful Jim.....mind you, you out number him!

That is stunning  ....it must be so nice to see everything not coated in rust, muck and filth. So envious!!!
It really is my favourite mk2 ...in that silver, in exclusive trim. Lovely.
Also quite jealous of the dark tinted rear light panel. 8-) ..makes the back look even more mysterious.

His light panel is really smoky dark Russ. We went out and compared mine and his and mine has a distinctly pinkish tinge about it especially when comparing reversing lights.

One interesting observation is my indicators appear brighter due to the lighter/pinkish tint...

We wonder if his is pristine and if they all started out that way and whether or not mine has faded over the years. Mike's car has always been garaged and thus protected from a lot of UV light.

Yeah, I am sure Will is right, they simply fade. If you watch the XM video back when the car is brand new, the rear lights are a nice dark smokey grey. But now most have since faded to the pinky brown colour. Mine included.

I think you can get a tinting film for rear lights, which might work. It don't think it needs to be that darker tint either...just enough to make it smokey again.

Nice blue Vauxhall!!!!! Tell your neighbour, nice colour!! :)

How did this XM arrive at your doorstep, by recovery truck I understand? Not one square millimeter of dust underneath is unreal. I wouldn't dare drive such cars.

ps. I like the Vauxhall too! Tell your neighbour! Great colour, not too fond of grey silver at all...but being a V6's they're forgiven! :)

Jaap, I can confirm it definitely arrived and left very much under its own power even if Mike was unhappy to see it start raining last evening just as he was leaving

I'll tell Martin (My neighbour) you like his Vauxhall. He will be happy :D He likes XMs and takes great interest in what I get up to. He really likes Mike's XM.

Thanks for all the nice comments about my car! Jim did not photograph the bad side.

You will see it warts and all at CXM.
