Bad planning Campbell! 'Tis a right shame... Will you be on for any other rallies this year?

Russ, I'll be there both days...

Tomorrow I'll find out if we can logistically get two of my cars there...
New home has left me with no holidays but I also spend a lot of weekends working - buying and selling antique postcards.

Yesterday saw my girls, the XM and I run down to Somerset and back again. to see dad.

Excellent run. very lovely day and the XM purrred. Gosh, that's a good car on a run!

I also found the wireless works well on medium wave for Radio 5. On the way home we were gripped rigid by Andy Murray's epic battle on centre court - what a nail-biter

We can all highly recommend the Little Chef at Tot Hill on the A34 Newbury Bypass. Good service and great food :D

No other XMs spotted though :(

Is Tot Hill the one that Heston Blumenthal got his hands on a few years ago?

I thought Little Chef had gone bust.
The last time I went into one, there was a chap consuming a bottle of red wine at 10:30 in the morning. Yuk!

I think they went into administration and whoever bought the company closed down most of the restaurants, leaving just a few of the more viable ones in business.

I think they now have a tie~up with McD who are currently building a new outlet in the the car park of our little chef, which I presume will be closed quite soon.

Tot Hill Little Chef is co-sited with a MaccyD and a TravelLodge along with a Shell garage that sells coffee and some snacky stuff..

A heck of a lot of Little Chefs along the A34 and A303 have closed over the years and in some cases become other things. Some have been closed for years...

Theres been a massive cull of Chefs nationally. Me and Sarah see a lot boarded up. Some get knocked down, but most are left standing. Here along the A55 express way theres was a fair few, but recently two have closed...
