You're not loving her enough Jaap. She sees the XM getting all the attention and she's jealous

I have to be ever so careful with mine, especially my Activa...

I have always said Xantias are feminine in their traits and your experiences just reinforces my opinion

That's a shame with the tyre and very maddening. I've suffered an repairable puncture in a new one before so I feel your pain. Good luck with the County Council on getting a new one out of them...

buh, nobody ever in Ireland to the best of my knowledge, ever will go to a council for that. On 'my' 3 mile road, we once counted over 300 (three hundred) pot holes walking the dog. It is not a joke. That's life here in Ireland...I am however now, thinking of going to claim this one back......probably wish full thinking yes. Plan to make a picture on my way home of the bl......y pot hole. But I cannot prove it of course, was alone in the car. As for attention: I didn't do anything significant on my XM ever yet! Just the basic stuff and even failed to solve the ABS problem yet..

It's getting bad for potholes over this side of the Irish sea Jaap  And it's set to get worse as some councils now leave them as a sort of quasi speed humps to help with speed reduction - honest!

I spent several years in Cyprus in the early 1980s and in those days their potholes were stuff of legend. Some roads were nothing more than potholes with bits of tarmac holding them together  Cars invariably had hexagonal wheels...

So bad it was that a good few of us had two cars; an old wreck for daily use and a nice, new one in storage for occasional use and duty-free importation back into the UK on the completion of our tours of duty. I had a Volvo 144 for the daily stuff and a nice new MG Metro tucked away to bring home at a later date...

Oh, and just owning an XM is enough to bring on a bout of jealousy in a Xantia ;)

So thats why my Xantia hates me! Thankfully the BX, CX and ZX seem to get on well with the XMs!

Not mine :( series 2 not good enough :( What on earth am I going to do with her. The engine is going so well, good for at least another million miles and nobody, nobody, nobody wants her. Accidently it occured to me to use it as a winter car and leave the nicest XM out of the bad weather. So that's it, I am gonna keep it :) so now Russ can dream of an old series I. All good now:)
