Re: My 3 Citroens in Thailand
They all appear to be in super condition. The ZX is a very under-rated car.

Re: My 3 Citroens in Thailand
Thanks,
The ZX was a wreck when Jimmy bought it, the P.O. wasn't prepared to spend any more. It's had an everything out and put it back again resto. Engine Bay, interior and down to the metal exterior. photographed at J&N Autos just after it's return from having it's Alcantara seating put back in, here's the only photo I have to hand. Jimmy is my Thai mechanic and a close mate. He also provides service facilities and truck when the group I help organise go touring whether within Thailand or other ASEAN countries. He was trained here, then went to the USA for further experience/training and eventually ran his own business in Las Vegas specialising in European cars. A very handy fellow to know and a very good friend - also the reason I can 'take the risk' with cars that are basically regarded with suspicion here. This is where, is anything goes wrong, the cry goes up 'Lets put a Toyota XXXX in it!'

Re: My 3 Citroens in Thailand
I ran a ZX (1.9D auto) Avantage from new in 1998, and put on 90k miles in three years. Not the quickest (one of the very few automatic diesels then available on a sub-£16k budget, and no turbo version offered), but huge fun to drive. The handling was really rather good, riding on torsion bars and coil springs, and 'passive rear wheel steering'. Everything unbelievably well screwed together - not a single rattle or squeak - in contrast to BX. Rear end (a very solid GRP tailgate) got the latest corporate look, and is very reminiscent of XM Break, especially the rear light clusters. Under-rated certainly.
