Well, thanks for these kind words... [emoji5]

The XM info on the site is mainly due to the contribution of Željko and it comes from a time when I only had a BX myself but I was already dreaming about an XM. But I should add more info even today, I know...

Hi dears,

I´m from Brazil and I know who is the Slagtrooper.

It's my Citroen XM:

Head gasket failure? ("educated" guess based on the stains on the underbonnet soundproofing where it looks like it's blown some filthy coolant out of the header tank.)

Isn't it unusual for a V6 to suffer with HG problems? :?

This car was stopped for eight years, so the head gaskets blew.
The acoustic insulation is spoiled because some mice was taking parts to assemble nest.
Now it's XM was being restored.

Hi to both Brazilians here

Just wanted to say there used to be another Brazilian XM onwner around. I'm not sure if it was on this forum, or on the predecessor. His name was Carlos/Caique Macedo and he had a V6 I think. Hasn't appeared for a few years now. Just thought it may help you guys network better! Or you might tell me you already know him!

Regards
George

Lots of us here have found the same publications really helpful (and not always helpful, in the case of XM Haynes).
Great that you rescued your BX from the streets.....a real "stray"!
The BX is a great car to play with, and to learn lots about modern Citroen on. We used to have a BX19RD, which we still miss.
And yours "locally made" too!
