Hello all, new member got an XM II 2.5 Estate (break?)

Post by oli_uk » Wed Aug 28, 2013 9:11 pm

Hi
I have recently acquired a pretty tidy XM estate
It had a few faults, most of which i picked up before buying it & most of which are fixed now (MOT due soon)

Seems pretty rust free apart from some jacking damage which looks minor but i will investigate after MOT

Loving the car, great fuel economy, 45mpg on short journeys (in the sticks) up to 55mpg on longer journeys - and its real because it tallys with the actual fuel put in - if I have a bit of fun on the B roads, it is a bit less
Really amazingly good handling if you really push through undulating, bendy, odd cambered roads

Love it

Hope MOT goes well

Well done on your acquisition Oli and they are indeed great cars, although I am not a diesel man myself! Regards, Matthew T.

For a big old comfy barge they handle surprisingly well really.
