I had no idea. HA! I will dig out the Haynes manual and have a look....See if there is a difference in any of the pictures. Now that is a proper Haynes manual.
I know certain models have open grills, whether that was an indication of something..not sure.
One thing I do know, is they liked to catch fire....well the carb models anyway. My Dad was told just after buying it in 1990. Helpful! Something to do with cardboard tubes and the carb dumping fuel everywhere I think. Ours behaved though...apart from dumping its coolant via the heater matrix into the passenger footwell not long after getting it.
My uncle got the facelift one. That had a longer nose on it..bit like the XM with a plastic grill covering the headlights. That one was a Savanna...2.0 fuel injected I believe. That was a good car too.
