My Dad's XM. Hi

Post by Lizjordan » Wed Apr 24, 2013 11:43 pm

Hello,
I don't have an XM myself, I've joined in order to help my Dad get rid of his car. I'm a member of a similar forum for my own car so I know how useful these sites can be. It's been sitting in the garage for a couple of years now and I've finally persuaded him to get rid of it by telling him there are mad car enthusiasts out there :D who would love to get their hands on it and make use of it. It was running when it was put in the garage, as far as I know but I'll get more details when I next speak to him.
Cheers
Liz

Why? :? :o :(

These cars needs to be rescued, not the other way around! They become to be very rare these days. Most of the new cars don't have the equipment like XM have. :!:

Look these ones for example:

Yes,they are money eaters if they are abused in the past but if they are properly maintained they are the best.I hope that you will change your mind. ;)

Whereabouts are you and what's the model type. Petrol or diesel and engine size. Plus estate or hatchback. Manual or automatic.

The car's in Norfolk but I'm in Kent, so i won't be able to get any pictures till I'm up there next (end of May). I know it's a burgundy coloured hatchback, petrol, manual drive, but that's about all I can remember. :? Next time I speak to Dad I'll get more details.
I'm afraid there's no chance he'll keep the car, he's already got another one which he's more than happy with. Being over 80yrs old and suffering with cancer I'm sure he can't be bothered with fixing up an old car anymore. He worked hard keeping it in good condition while he was driving it, but that's gone out the window now.

There is a couple of chaps on here who live in Norfolk. If it is worth rescuing you never know, someone might want it.

Do you know the age of the car. As in its reg number...eg L or K ect. This would give us a clue if it is a mk1 or 2.
