Hi there again, forgotten the password and have had to register so here i am.

my car is a mundane 2.0 petrol estate with the usual issues of corroded pipes, rusty underside and dangerous strut tops, wether or not I manage to resolve them and get it up and running will hopefully be helped by being here on the forum.

Cheers Lima193 (formerley madman i think) :)

Hehe,

I could not sign in after a few weeks away from the site, as i had forgotten my password. The easiest option was to just start allover again with a new one.
Now i,m back in i can see i was madman 52 but still unable to recall the password.
I've been on this forum and a few others too, years back, my first XM was a 1990 2.0i hatch, regd G888 OEA, a sort of slate grey colour, which i used to drive all over britain for work. The forum we all used then (late 90,s) was yahoogroups XML group, my user name then was Urco, you were on there, mark Bedford was there, Ciaran, Peter Whossisname from the CCC, lots of others and a lot of enthusiasm for the cars.
The other XM's were another 2.0i hatch black, G52 RTV, 2.0sei hatch in light metallic green ( triton?) with all leather and airco G777 ???, then a 'K' reg 2.1turbo diesel estate, silver with pink sidestripe.
Then i had an 8-seater CX familial from a Cit enthusiast from Kettering area, a Xantia HDI, fantastic car ran it upto 199,996 miles.

Current car is a dark green 2.0i XM estate reg P82? BCK. I need some STRUT TOPS and 6.5mm steel pipe from front to rear.

Regards erm oh yeah Lima193

I think you mean 4.5mm pipe which is nominally the same as 3/16" brake pipe. I need to test a flare sometime to see if it will fit in the socket.
