Greetings from a newbie from Denmark!

I've been reading for some time now - signed up yesterday - and now it's time to raise the flag and say: Hello everyone!

From 1997 - 2001 I had a white 1990 XM 122i Prestige Berline with 24V rims. It drove fantastic and I've never stopped missing the car - therefore I'm now looking for a "new" one... preferably a 1999 or 2000 XM Y4 2.1 D12 with automatic transmission - white or silver Exclusive would be fantastic!

Tried a 1995 3.0 V6 today, had lot of umpfh... but hated the steering - think the DIRAVI was dead since it was very lively no matter what speed I drove.

On my old XM I had a "tailblazer" plate behind the rear numberplate - been trying to find a new one - with no luck... do any of you have the part number or even a new one that you want to sell??

I read tons of posts from this forum yesterday - saw a picture of a XM with 15" rims I believe - sort of turbine look (Peugeot maybe??) - now I can't find the .... picture again GRRRR!

When I find a "new" XM - I'll buy mudguards front and rear, replace the Y4 rear spoiler with a Y3 spoiler and also swap the mirrors with the old style - I think they were much nicer...... maybe even the front grille... and fit alloy rims from the 24V on it - it'll be just like old times

But for now, I'll have to do with my BMW Z3 3.0iA and a P38 Range Rover 4.6 V8. They are both great fun - but neither give me the driving pleasure I had in my old XM....

Oh by the way.... I grew up with Citroën CX: 22 TRS, 2400 GTI and 25 GTI - all great cars - preferred the 2400 GTI!!!- the GTI's with Michelin TRX tyres 8-) So I was brought up with LHM in my veines....

Welcome to the Club Ferdinand and before very long you will be a serial XM owner like many of us! I am a series one enthusiast, myself, in particular late petrol turbos and early V6 12 and 24v, which cannot be beaten I think!! Regards, Matthew T.

Thanks for the welcome!

Owning and maintaining a car has become a lot easier with internet and different fora... it's almost always certain that someone else has tried whatever one is about to do mrgreen: Shared experience/ knowledge is a great thing!!

I'm currently looking for:
A lowmilage LHD Y4 XM 2.1 D12 hatchback, silver or white
tailblazer for XM
24V alloys

And also still looking for the picture of a dark blue/ black/ green XM with jet turbine looking alloys... been through all the pages and still haven't found it yet (can't see the forrest because of trees I think)...

I think the car you are looking for with the turbine wheels was steelcity's car,. The wheels were Volvo wheels.

Nope! - Saw that one - those wheels came from a Volvo 850 T5.

The rim I'm looking for is like this:

It's from a Peugeot 605 SV24

I've never seen one with wheels like that, but the original 24v wheels were similar.

Welcome: I´ve just registered and I am Aarhus, Denmark. I look forward to following the discussion here.
My car is a 1990 2.0 SEi but the catch is that it´s a RHD car. How it perplexes people with its Danish plates.
