PROBLEMS JUST AS I JOIN
Hi,
Just seen the forum a few days ago and as punishment, for not joining earlier, my bulletproof Green 2.1 TD is protesting. The abs sensors/system are not very happy and I need to get hold of some from somewhere. But yesterday I had a mjaor problem with my clutch pedal. The mechanism on the pedal that links it to the clutch pedal disintegrated I think its a plastic washer. Any thoughts gratefully accepted. I live in SW London and its difficult for me to take my car to parents in Lancashire to get it serviced by Malcolm at Savoy Garage. Does any one know of somebody that works on XMs?
Many Thanks
Feisal

Re: PROBLEMS JUST AS I JOIN
Hi Feisal
Welcome to the club. Cant help you with the ABS sensors but you may find that the problem is with the plug/socket where they are connected to the loom, the front ones are inboard of the struts - follow the wires and the rear are on top of the subframe, not so easy to get at.
Your clutch problem is that the plastic link on the cable has broken, you will need a new cable I'm afraid.

Hi Peter,
Thanks v much for the advice. Alas I am having trouble trying to track down a clutch cable do you know anyone that might stock it. I have tried the usual suspects- GSF, Europarts and Citroen.
Cheers

Hi Feisal,
A member on here Colin Xm (I think) makes stainless steel repair parts to replace the plastic pivot join that has broken on your car. He may be able to sort you out.
Regards
Robert

Feisal,
Not sure which plastic bit you are referring to but if it is the piece inside the car then the following may be of use.
Forum member jorgy had the same problem not too long ago and he managed to fabricate a metal yoke to replace the broken plastic bit. I suggest you do a search through his posts for the relevant topic.

Hi Feisal,
I haven't received an email from you but if this is the part that you want then email me on citxm(at)online.no as I do happen to have a quadrant left on the shelf
Cheers, Colin:p
