Hi, just a quick note to add to the existing French member.

We live in France, have done permanently for over 6 years and have always had an array of Citroens since passing my driving test.

Currently have a 1999 2.1td Manual Hatch and a 1995 2.5 td estate, as well as a few 2cv's.

Started off with an early 1990 2.0i saloon many years ago in the UK, then 1996 2.1 td auto before leaving the UK and have usually had a DS or CX running at the same time as the XM's.

Since being out here had a 2000 2.5td Exclusive that came from Belgium and a 1998 2.0i 16v saloon, but not a patch in the diesel models.

There are a few nice XM's locally, all series 2, don't see many series 1's at all here.

Have just posted a question re the external temp sensor, hope someone can help, and I will try and get some pics loaded soon.

Regards
Mark

Hi Mark,

Whereabouts in France do you now live? I lived near Agen for best part of two years and still miss living en France.

Hi we are in the Charente, Dept 16, about half way between Poitiers and Angouleme.

Hopefully off to get another XM this weekend, a April 2000 2.5 TD Exclusive.

Regards
Mark

Ooh, a nice late car, it should be in good condition being in a warmer climate.

This is a bit cheeky, but being in France do you know any decent places to get 2nd hand parts from?

Hi sorry for the late reply.

there are a few early XM's in the breakers yards locally, both petrol and diesel, prices are resonable, what do you need?

Regards
Mark

Good condition strut tops would be a priority.

Also a complete diesel filter unit would be good as I've replaced the filter head and still have a problem with air ingress.
