Good Morning all, My name is Geoff and I live in Stroud, Gloucestershire.I Joined the XM Forum this morning (17/06/2010)and wanted to say hello! I own a 1999 (T reg) VSX ct 2.0ltr Turbo auto. I wonder if I can pick your collective brains? I am trying to locate the paint code for my car, I have looked on the passenger door front post, the orga number is there, but no paint code, I have looked under the bonnet above/below the passenger side headlight as has been suggested to me, still nothing. I need to get some paint to tidy up the mirror bodies, but without the code, no can do. The colour is a mid-blue metallic, not Balmoral,l which is to dark. Any suggestions would be welcome. Regards to all, Geoff.

hi geoff
nice to see someone local. I think I saw you and your car a few weeks back at Edge at about 6pm, turning to go into Whitehills. I was in a smart roadster (bright yellow).

Hi Geoff,
Welcome to the Forum and although based on Norfolk I have a brother who lives in Stroud, from where my wife also originates, so may look you up sometime! The paint code should be located just below the air filter housing on the bodywork, although you might need to move some wires aside and clean things up a little as the white paint does not always show up very clearly. There have been earlier posts with at least some of the paint codes and names listed which you might also want to check.
With regards,
Matthew T.

When you've located the paint code (Position/location as in Matthew's/MTXM post)
THIS link should help you decipher the actual name of the paint/colour !

I guess it's Buckingham Blue metallic, code KMV.
There are only two blue metallic listed as opposed to pearlescent.

Hi Geoff
Glad you have found us.
Around R reg Citroen moved the paint code position to the chassis but just in front of the front suspension strut head.
Cannot remember which side.
For the 2000 model year (April 1999) the paint code and RPO numbers moved to the tyre pressure sticker on the drivers door "A" pillar.
On these lables bottom row is an internal factory sequence number. Next one up is the Paint Code.
The last reference to paint codes in the Citroen workshop manual was for the 1997 Model year.
4 Blues were listed but only 3 available for SX cars. Of the 3 Buckingham had been renamed Fijian blue (superluster metallic) but code still EMV.
Admiral blue (superluster solid colour) code ENC. Stratos blue (superluster pearl ) code EPK.
The other one Midnight blue, code EPG, was only available on estates.
