I purchased this 1996 (June 95 build) 2.1 TD12 Break auto 3 weeks ago from a guy who bought it last year from forum member Gerry TD. The car is basically in great shape apart from a lot of terrible paintwork! It’s my intention to continue the good work which Gerry put into making the car as nice as possible. My usual classic car garage gave it a fresh MOT just last week with no significant issues. I’m working through a relatively short list of jobs and I’ve booked it in for a respray of about 75% of the paintwork at the beginning of July.
I’m new to XMs, although not to hydropneumatic Citroens, and I’m sure I’ll have a few questions to ask as I work through my things to do list

I'm surprised to read the paint is poor, it looked really good in images.

Exactly what I had been looking for when I bought my XM - during my search I even saved the pics from Gerry's advert. Not that I regret buying mine.
