Bizarre..... the pics look OK now!!!!!

Norman.... I'm just off the M62, really handy for trips back to Birkenhead.

The pictures are fine for me too.

The plates these guys send are proper plates with the reflective etc behind a perspex sheet. Not the new crap with the refelctive etc stuck onto a plastic plate.

TBH, I'm not sure I understand the difference you're describing here Robert;
surely whatever side is stuck, the end result looks the same?

Agreed - nice straight car and very distinctive in a dark colour
- the visually fussy glasshouse on Xm's is better, being integrated
more into the shape of darker paintwork.

But there's the rub - it's a real pita to keep the damned thing
looking good unless you leave it somewhere to be polished for you!

Normally car number plates are a perspex plate on the outside with the reflective material and letters/numbers applied to the back of the plate. Thus you have the reflective material protected by the perspex plate. The new type registration plates that are very common now are a black plastic plate with the reflective material and numbers stuck onto the front of this plate, and a clear plastic film to supposedly protect the reflective material. Basically the new type of plates don't last as long as the old ones with the reflective coming off easily, and numbers washing off if the protective sheet isn't applied or comes off.

I used to work for a company who injection moulded various plastic and PVC products, and they made the plastic plate blanks for this new type of numberplate hence my anorakish little rant.
