Hi HooXM

Interesting what you find on here.
As the number of In Use and Sorn XM's is now dropping quite fast there should be more of this car history found.

As you are looking for bits and help add your location to your site information.
May just improve what help is offered as you may turn out to be local to some of us.

John

As well as advice from members here there is a very well respected independent Citroen garage in Chatham.

What an interesting forum this is turning out to be.

One new owner buys a cheap XM diesel at Medway and takes it round Europe, including Switzerland, another brings one back from Switzerland and it eventually ends up residing in Medway.

Mmm. Regrets sure, but in reality being a 2.0CT it was too thirsty for the sort of trips I was making, and more importantly, I wanted an auto. My wife didn't like to drive the XM - because in certain situations the four pedal arrangement was not pleasant. E.g. in slow stop-start traffic going up a steepish hill (which I found a real pain too) which is the sort of thing we often encountered on a particular trip we used to make.

Ended up with a 2003 Rover CDTi Connoisseur Auto Tourer in a similar green, with leather - and now it's been remapped to 160 bhp/290 ft/lbs torque, is quick and capable whilst still returning 45-50mpg on a run. It ticks a lot of boxes. However, it's not as good looking or as comfortable as the XM... but what else is?

Hang on to it :) Maybe somebody knows how to boost your engine performance. I, don't know. But I would like to know :)
