Bad times! Don't they cost a fortune? I have heard that the auto's are 'lubed for life' and correspondingly fail around 120000 miles (sound familiar?)

Don't all BMW's come with silly Rayban's and cherished plates instead of suspension!?

Hammond best sums up their spec sheet - once the car is bought you get the air inside included
but everything else costs extra; so finding a second hand one where the buyer sprung for the
goodies is going to be challenging. Especially when the rest of the world have been brainwashed
into wanting to own one. Do you want to become a "me too" driver?

Hi Andrew

The only reason he is tempting me with it is because its cheap. They are nice to drive and fast with a pretty good ride for a modern car but as any breakdown or even fault is likely to cost as much as I paid for all my XM's - I dont think I will bother.

I've been surprised by the number of C6s i've seen round Dublin. 3 in the last week! i think 2 of them might have been the same driver, difficult to tell they seem to be pretty swift on the move. None of them cast an enthusiast's glance toward my XM even tho its shining like a beaut at the moment.

Depending on age, beware injection pump failure due to contamination from engine oil creeping through pump end seal; disintegrating cooling system plastic bits; suspension riddled with apparently quick wear bushes and links; rear seating one step down from a park bench.
As a friend of mine said -- give a dog a good name !
