xm estates

Post by Dean » Fri Sep 10, 2010 7:08 pm

saw a white xm estate heading north from Oxford sunday night i think.
And today saw a maroon estate Mk2 at the havenstreet steam railway, not sure if its local or not but it looked very smart.

Hi Dean

It was me you saw on Sunday evening in the white estate coming back from a charity event in Southampton to Stafford, via Oxford...

Dean, you said "youve been seen around a lot lately Ian..."

Not surprising... I use my XM almost everyday in my business (I'm a motorsports photographer and artist)and since I got it (from Brian Primmer CCC) in October 2008 have covered another 37000 miles...

Just as an example - last week - I made two trips from here (Stafford) to see Malcolm at Savoy in Burnley, and then motorracing at Brands Hatch in Kent on Sunday. Those three trips about 750 miles! Not unusual for me...

(That's on top of the usual weekly local "running about" mileage of about another 150 per week)

Does anyone else use their XM to this extent?

Regards

I do a 30 mile (each way) commute every day in mine. Plus all the weekend trips, holidays etc. Adds up to a good 18,000 miles per year. I think I have only been spotted once though.

I have spotted a silver hatch on the A24/25 just before Denbies in Dorking - it is parked up in one of the houses there!
