It is now possible to report that a booking has been made and we got in just before the February 14th price increase! I also have a second passenger, Dave-the-Rave, willing to commit, which reduces the costs to about £120 each for the ferry crossing, petrol, and four days's attendance with camping. The distance from Hook of Holland to the venue is a mere 95 miles and estimated 1.5 hours driving time! Regards, Matthew T.

This event is now imminent and personally I cannot wait to attend!! I thought I would also just check who else is going from the Forum apart from Dave and myself? Regards, Matthew T.

Just to confirm that Dave and I have made it to the event and I will send a more detailed report and photos on return. As expected the attendance is hugely impressive with an awesome number and variety of cars. There are literally hundreds of DS and Tractions and a reasonable number of XM, including one other S1 24v that I seen and a few other early V6. Much other interest of course with stalls etc. and we have collected a few souvenirs! Regards, Matthew T.

Thanks Will and you would be in your element! Amongst other things we saw a couple of birotor GS earlier today and there were several M35 in attendance yesterday. Amongst other highlight spots were a Belgian SM with XM S1 24v engine and apparently four were converted with new engines fitted. With regards, Matthew T.

I can well understand an SM v6-24v PRV. It will sound the same, but have 25 more horses to play with...

If it wasn't for the sacrilidge of removing a Masser engine from an SM, I'd probably do the same. Mind you, a V6 HDI would now produce more power than a Maserati V6 used in the SM...now, there's a thought...

We also had the same thought about the ESJ engine Will, although the fit might be slightly trickier! Apparently the PRV and Maserati engines rotate in different directions and a mod on the gearbox is required. Regards, Matthew T.

Here are a selection of my photos recording the XMs in attendance! At a guess there were about 30 different cars over the long weekend than included a couple of early V6 12v and one other S1 24v (Swedish). I also spotted a few other interesting quirky variants with a six-wheel transporter and ambulances. Regards, Matthew T.
