There should be a good smattering of non-XM shaped cars. I know a mate of mine is attending in a Xantia HDi (a 2001 model!) and my dad should be making an appearance in his "this cost £100 in 2006" Volvo 740 on LPG.

There will hopefully be a fair few interesting cars there.

I know there's a few mates from the BX Club planning to go.

Following on from the suggestion by Martin I would be pleased to send notice around to various interested and my list in no particular order is as follows:

Wolsey House Motors, Diss, Norfolk
Brian Primmer, Leicester
Pleiades, Sawtry, Cambs.
Malcolm Lockwood, Bradford, W. Yorks.
Citroen UK and Main Dealerships
Pallas Auto, Northfleet, Kent
Citroen Classics, Staines, Middlesex,
BL Autos, Welwyn, Herts.
French Classics Ltd., Fawkham, Kent
Tony Weston, Cambridge, Gloucestershire
Footman James Insurance,
Peter Best Insurance
Dave Ashworth, Blackpool, Lancs.
Savoy Garage, Blackpool, Lancs.

Many of the above should already have registered the event through the CCC journal, but I guess it would do no harm to send personal invites. Please do provide other suggestions and is anyone here prepared to take on the press release?

With regards,

Matthew T.

My Xantia cost me £250 eight years ago from a salvage yard. New sump and windscreen and it passed the test.

THESE are the sort of cars I DO like to buy actually..

I feel more proud telling people how much one has NOT cost me rather then Ive been a fool and been robbed of 10k for this car!!

I was doing that today at a local fete, where I had both Messerschmitt and Fiat 126 at - £200 for the Messerschmitt and £800 for the 126. Then I tell them what the Schmitt is insured for....
