I'm expecting to be there for one day, probably Saturday. Does that make 25?

I would expect that you will get more XMs as there may be owners that are in the CCC but not aware that you are canvassing numbers. Even though I am a member of this forum and seen the ad in the Citroenian, I emailed Ciaran O'Reilly (XMinations column) to find out more and he sent me a link to this thread.

Has anyone done a press release to the motoring correspondents of the newspapers? I'm thinking in particular of the Telegraph as they do some coverage of classic cars, unlike other papers that focus on the new stuff. Clearly, some stuff about 25th, car of the year, innovative technology that entered the mainstream etc. It would be good to have some national exposure and there is still some time.

I have a VHS of the original launch video that I can burn to DVD - I'm happy to bring a laptop for showing and can leave the DVD with someone for Sunday - will there be access to 240v power?

Has anyone engaged some of the key XM trade people (e.g. Wolsey House, Savoy Garage, Pleiades, Footman James etc.) or is this just a "come and chill" session?

Yes I think you are right about Vince bringing his XM Paul and I have also added Costa? to the list, which makes a possible 12 XM on Sat and 20 on Sun!

X -S Tim
X SS Matthew
X SS Paul R
X SS Russ
X SS Mark
X -S John M
- -S Jim
X -S Vince
X SS Neil
X -S Eddie
X SS Will
- -S Rory
X SS Mike S
X SS Rob
- -S Chris
- SS Dean
X -S Mike
X -S Norman
- -S Bill
X -S Catherine
X SS David H.
X -S Alan N.
X SS Darren C.
X -S Ray
X S- Martin
X SS Costa

Hopefully the advert in recent Citoenian issues will have alerted other CCC members Martin and those are great ideas for further publicity! I wonder if you would be prepared to arrange a press release and to notify those in the trade as suggested? I think the consensus is to keep the event relatively low key, but I have also been thinking about whether there should be a convoy ride on one of the days, say to Ironbridge, or any other events.
With regards,
Matthew T.

Hopefully that will not put off possible attendees Paul and after all the CCC is helping with publicity! Regards, Matthew T.

I suspect that many CCC members have assumed that it's a replacement for the CXM rally - I certainly heard comments to that effect at Stratford.

I think the 'disclaimer' on the CCC Facebook page is in relation to concerns over public liability insurance. I think the CCC were concerned about being open to a potential claim. I've assured Tim that RAF Cosford have PL insurance, as does the campsite.
