It's a four hour drive for me, for a one day event. As much as I like the idea of my car being in such an event I'd be spending more time in the saddle than taking in the event itself.

I think you've got a bloody good point there Will.

Thanks for the compliment Paul. Can't wait to get her back on the road next month.

I also notice it's hosted by a Golf Club and the entry fee is £10.

IIRC, PC were just promoting the National Motor Museum's take on it. I don't think it's an official PC thing.

From the Beaulieau website, PC are the sponsors of the event.

Practical Classics, the show sponsors will be at the event performing practical demonstrations throughout the weekend.

Ah ah! interesting. 8-) :) It is a bit cheeky copying, but it would be good to see them all in the flesh. Something you obviously can't do with a mag.
Matthew is the ideal chap with his early cars to go.

FIAT have introduced a number of technical innovations later used across the whole motor industry. Common rail diesel injection being one case.

In my experience, FIAT mechanicals are tough and the cars reliable until bodged by mechanics.

Ours had a couple of door lock switches come loose, but other than that was pretty good electrically.

In my experience nobody makes small petrol engines as good as FIAT. Their FIRE engines date back to the Uno and Panda of the mid eighties, the Cinq and the Seicento and are now fitted to the 500. They are bomb proof!
