Gaitor is just a push fit to reattach.
If a new Citroen strut head was fitted two years ago then it will be deep type.
These require a different design of gaitor.
If the old was reused it will keep dropping off.

Isn't this on the yr-2000 car, if so it should have deep strut mounts anyway.

It (the gaitor) appears to have been secured with a cable tie. I'm sure it's a simple matter of popping it back on. Might be easier with the wheel removed. It is a yr 2000 car. I'll let someone of a more technical nature have a look at Barry's.

!!BUMP!! This weekend guys. I'll be setting up camp on the Friday night. Quite a few of the BXClub contingent will be in attendance. Hopefully it'll be a good weekend of tinkering.

Fantastic weekend at Bourne Citroen. Barry and his wife Pauline were excellent hosts and the weather put on a surprise performance. Glorious sunshine all weekend certainly raised everyone's spirits.

Plenty of jobs completed on the attendees cars. I gave the XM a oil and filter change, as well as a flush and new fluid for the auto box. That's two fluid changes in 6 months, so should be ok for a while yet. Paul Handley from the BXClub had a rubber 'duck-tail' spoiler fitted to his BX TGD, Andrew Squires also of the BXClub had his sunroof drain channels cleaned out. Mike Harker had something done to his lovely yellow Visa and various other jobs were done in between scoffing biscuits, cakes and copious amounts of tea and coffee.

We also had an opportunity to nosey around Barry's collection of 'distressed' Citroens, ranging from the ubiquitous BX, to the Bijou, XM, 2CV ( all twenty or so ), H van and Xantia's, Acadianne's and Ami's.

So all in all, a superb weekend was had by all. Here's to the next technical weekend. :-)

Thanks Jim. I was really impressed with the XM in 'tow car' mode. It was pulling nearly a tonne of caravan, yet still achieved 30mpg over a distance of nearly 500 miles!! Not bad in my book. :)

Excellent Mark, glad you enjoyed it. :D Any pics?

Didn't make it in the end, however things did get very busy. Also one of the perks of running a "modern" Citroen, nothing to fix...

Yet...
